This group is no longer running but there are many other activities organized in and around Taunton by home educators, such as a library group, art club, science club, cookery club, and various visits throughout the year, etc.

Kitchen experiments

This week we had fun with a few "kitchen" experiments.

We grated a red cabbage and mixed its bright purple juice with vinegar, baking powder, lemon juice, etc to observe colour changes (acids vs bases).

We separated pepper and salt using static electricity.

We watched raisins go up and down in glasses of fizzy water.

And we made some clay with corn flour and pva glue.

Woodwork

The theme this week was woodwork.

Everyone got busy with the hot glue guns & wooden pegs, hammers & nails & lots of sliced branches and wood pieces.

The creativity was amazing!
